About Le Bay

Le Bay Lodge , has a fully Licensed Restaurant & Bar, which caters for functions, small conferences, meetings, Birthdays, weddings etc. Our restaurant comfortable seats 40 inside and 24 on our outside patio. Out restaurant menu is in the process of being relaunched, and will be available shortly on our website. Think of amazing fresh breakfasts, with all products sourced locally, breakfast will be served from 7am to 11am daily. Dinners, amazing steaks, lip licking spareribs only the freshest seafood available, all caught locally. Dinner will be served from 6pm to 10pm daily. Daily specials will be put into place and we shall tempt you with this – Friday special, 1 Kg of tender fall off the bone Pork Belly spareribs, Saturday – 1kg of Prawns, flash fried in either, Peri Peri/Lemon or Garlic Butter. Sundays, we will offer our soon to be famous Legendary Carvery, Starter, Mains – 3 meats, roast potatoes, rice, gravy, Yorkshire pudding, freshly made vegetables of the day, and a local South African dessert with a twist. So bring Mom & the kids and come and join us for a drink in out upmarket bar. Sunday lunch will be served from 12-14H30 and we suggest making a reservation for this. We are situated +/- 60 metres from our Famous Blue Flag Status beach-Bikini Beach. We look forward to welcoming to your home from home.

The Lodge contains a range of pleasantly and stylishly furnished rooms, all which include en suite bathrooms with shower or bath. All rooms have flatscreen televisions with DSTV channels, Air Conditioning, Ceiling Fans, bar fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, All rooms have personal safes. Rooms are serviced and refreshed daily. All upper rooms have either Mountain or Sea Views. We offer safe and secure off street parking, all monitored 24/7 by CCTV.

Gordon's Bay:

Gordon's Bay is a seaside village framed by a backdrop of exquisite mountains!

It is 40 minutes out of Cape Town on a dual carriageway. 35 minutes out of Stellenbosch and the wine routes via a dual carriageway. 45 minutes away from Hermanus, via the most exquisite coastal road, winding through several small villages en route.

This route (from Gordons Bay to Hermanus) is famous for spotting schools of Whales by the dozen. 50 minutes away from the beautiful French Hugenot Village of Franschhoek.

Beaches:

Gordons Bay has some of the best beaches in the Cape, beautiful white sand, rock pools, shallow paddling areas and calm seas. The sea is much warmer here than you will find on the Atlantic coast. Bikini Beach has been awarded Blue Flag status, an international quality rating of the highest order! The area abounds with excellent restaurants, shopping malls and amenities.

Climate:

The climate is Mediterranean, average maximum temperatures peak at 30 degrees from December to March, dropping to 18 degrees from May to September.

Summers are warm and dry, with the occasional windy day. 

Spring and Autumn have mild and balmy days and warm evenings.
Winters tend to be mild. Short lived storms which are wet and cool, interspersed with sunny days.
